Again, the reality of our human maladies is touching our life today as the news of Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich has reached the lines of many news organization across our nation as well as the international news services.
Our best wishes to Mark Herzlich in his battle against this terrible news. Would this be a good time to post a few questions when it comes to the real value of our health and our life?
As Mark said in an interview published by Sports ESPN (story ID 4166736), "At this point, I do not know what this means for my football future, but I am determined to rid my body of this disease so that I can put that uniform back on," he said. "Thank you in advance for your prayers and concern. Together, we will fight this and win."
The main issue is not to see our life through the polarized glass of football, or baseball, or any other of our social pastime sports, but rather in a context of how do I combat the enemy and what is to be done after that.
Our best wishes and prayer for Mark and his family.
